Change...

It's official...we are raising a toddler now.  We went for our 12 month checkup yesterday.  Everything was good.  Meg weighed 20 lbs. 1 oz. (34%) and was 30.75 in. tall (94%).  She is growing girl learning new things everyday!  So many changes all at once...

We wear shoes everywhere we go!  Loving our pink, shiny Tom's.

Our cabinet is filled with plates, sippy cups, snacks and snack holders!

We said hasta la vista to formula (the checkbook thanks us), and have welcomed whole milk into our fridge...not exactly welcomed, but more on that below!

We also said bye-bye to the bottle (literally!  we had a bye-bye bottle ceremony this morning) and hello big girl cups!  Which is not going so well for us.

We gave milk in the bottle for 1 week, and she did really well.  Then, we realized we just need to give up the ole bottle cold turkey.  Today, she might have had maybe 3 oz. of milk and pushed it away all morning and afternoon.  We will keep trying!  Any suggestions from mommas out there are welcome?!?  I am just hoping that with time...she will just drink it!

  1. Yep just keep trying, she'll get thirsty enough and get used to the new cups! I hate bottles and formula too and as soon as they turn one I do the same thing! So exciting to see her grow up online!! She is adorable!!

  2. And the changes will keep coming!! So happy/sad. Slow time down!!! My babies!!! And the milk - braum's has rich creamy milk, savannah drinks it the best. Try giving her warm chocolate chip cookies that would go really well milk... That always makes milk really appealing to me ;)
